Hi folks,

I'm currently working on a GUI to edit the nicks.txt cause mine has growed too much meanwhile. :)
If the interest is big enough out there, I may think to release it for public!

Here is a sample:

Looks nice! Nick file syntax can sometimes get quite tricky so this could be a big help for many stats admins.

Here is a first beta version (v0.1.0) of my Config File Editor for mIRCStats. Please test it with your nicks.txt config files and send me feedback here in the forums, so that I can improve it!!

System requirements:
.NET Framework 2.0 (should be already installed on your system)

Limitations:
- This version only supports global nick configuration in the [common] section. Channel-specific sections (e.g. [#foo]) are ignored for now but will be supported in the next version.
- Only some modes are supported (i.e. NO_AUTOCONNECTION, ISBOT, ISEXCLUDED). The rest will follow as well.

As this is an early beta version, please do BACKUP your existing configuration file. Otherwise some configurations may be overwritten. For that matter, the config file editor saves your configuration file as <filename>.new.txt, so that you do not overwrite your old configuration by mistake.

Next version 0.2.0 is planned to have the following features:
- Support channel specific sections (i.e. [#foo])
- Support for all available modes (e.g. ISHALFOP etc.)
- Automatic check for already existing nick, when adding a new nick

Plans for future versions:
- a search function to find nicks/alternative nicks
- Support for city.txt, countries.txt, teams.txt

Ok, for us NOT so much on the geek side. Just how do we utilize the program?

What do you exactly mean with that? It's a normal windows application - you can use it the same way you use mIRCStats.
Unpack the .rar file, execute the .exe file, load your nicks.txt, edit the information you want to change, save the file...
